Public Consultation

This is how the public consultation process will work for the Woking Borough Council Play Area Improvement Programme.

Each proposed play area plan has been developed with the expertise of the selected partner and playground equipment specialist, Russell Leisure. Plans will meet standards for safety and best practice for play areas. Plans will also meet standards for Safety and Best Practice for play areas for children of all abilities from 0-12 year. Plans will also meet best value aims.

Proposed plans will be on display at places near each play area and at Woking Central Library, Woking Leisure Centre & Pool and at the Woking Borough Council's Civic Offices at Gloucester Square. Plans will be on display before the consultation workshops.

We will then hold a 'drop-in' consultation workshop for each play area during the school term. You will be able to call in and speak to the person handling the designs for that site. Do call in to let us hear your views by Friday 19 September 2008. Before or after that, you can let us have your comments as detailed in How to contact us.

Following our collection of residents' views in this public consultation process we will:
Bullet Amend proposals as appropriate
Bullet Make amended plans available for your inspection
Bullet Undertake the improvements you ask for where possible
Bullet Advise you of start and finish dates, after consultation.

The last day to let us have you views in Friday 11 December 2009. Thank you
